  1. Are you sure that the landlord gave out your personal information?  What about if your old mail was delivered to your previous address, he may have gotten it that way.  Also, it is very easy to find out who previously lived in your old apartment.  Just go under google and type reverse look up, type your old address and your name comes up.

  2. I dont think there is anything wrong with giving out your name, how ever if your landlord gave out your contact info im pretty sure thats not appropriate. Look up the tenant- landlord act, and laws regarding the state you live in.

  3. Yeah, call up your landlord and cuss him out!  They had no business giving out your personal info!  I'd contact an attorney and ask what your options are!

  4. Did you cut a loud nasty f**t and he said your name outloud as he was running for his life? I really don't think you have much of a case but just me.

  5. Your landlord isn't allowed to give out any information about you.  Tell the person who is contacting you to cease and desist and not to contact you again.

  6. It was your landlord's responsibility to clean the carpets, not yours. Tell them to stop contacting you, keep records of everything in case it turns ugly. I think it's really your old landlord pretending to be the new tenant just to harass you!

  7. Nope.  Giving out your name is not a crime.  But if he gave out personal information such as SSN or credit info, then you have a case. Anybody, once they have your name, can find out an email address online.
