  2. How to fix........ Here we go........

    Steps:

    1. At the telephone junction box, reveal the service wiring. Roll off UL-approved 22-gauge cable wire and attach the wire to the existing frame with cable staples . Leave six to eight inches of extra cable near the junction box.

    2. Run the cable through the window to the future cable outlet location (to see how much cable you'll need). Mark the spot with a carpenter's pencil.

    3. Inside, trace the outline of the drop-in box at the location, then cut the hole around the outline to install it. After you've drilled a hole from below, feed the cable through the hole, through the box--then push the box into the hole. The best way to get the cable from the junction box to the outlet is to: tie the cable to an extended coathanger, run it underneath the house, drill a hole for the cable, then run the coathanger up through the hole with the cable attached.

    4. Remove two inches of sheathing from the wire, then remove the insulation from the tips of each individual wire. With a screwdriver, attach all wire leads to the same color on the back of the outlet . s***w the outlet/faceplate into the wall.

    5. At the telephone junction box, connect the cable wires to the color-coded s***w terminals . Reattach the junction cover. Be sure to unplug the service plug when working with telephone wires.

    6. Check the line to make sure it is functioning properly .This project costs only 15 dollars and takes about two hours.
