Are stove broke and the guys got us a used one ,and after i used it 1 big roach and 4 little roaches came out.... my girl friend is completely freaked out that we will get roaches.......what should we do to make sure there is no infestation..... the building has never had roaches and it will suck if we get them because of the cheap new land lord....not to mention that roaches are my girlfriends pet peeve and gross her out more than anything else..... do we have something to worry about

  1. I HOPE YOU DIDNT STEP ON ANY OF THEM, call your land lord tell him he  needs to take the stove away and get ur house sprayed bombed whateva

  2. Call the landlord right away and tell him about the bugs.  The thing with roaches, as you know, is that if there's one, there's plenty more!

Tell the landlord you want to know what he is going to do about this.  Maybe he'll even pay to get rid of it/them.

My opinion is that he should be liable for this since he brought them into your home.

    Do not hesitate.

  3. I would put in a complaint to the landlord and request extermination. You can also try combat gel around the house. I found that has worked for me and I put in down in my apt since day 1.  Also perhaps invest in the electronic pest replier's that you plug into the wall outlets. I have them and they work as well.

  4. I would call the landlord to let him know first. I would possibly have him pay for someone to come in and check the area to clean out all the bugs if there are any more. I would not pay for it if the landlord was the one who did it and it is his place. So he should take care of the problem.

  5. If I were you, I think I could live without a stove if all they gave me was a roach-infested stove. Get rid of it, and fumigate your dwelling. You should be OK after that.

  6. Clean the stove out good. Go to the dollar store and buy roach traps ( 6 for !.00 ) and put them around the stove. They work like magic.
