how water could have gotten in them. At one point the gas was turned off and when the gas company came back out to turn the gas back on they said there were leaks in the pipes. Is it possible the plumbers put water in the pipes in an effort to find the leaks ?

  1. ground water is where the water came from which means the lines have holes and are not safe.

  2. Somebody should call your local Mental Health Board (but I'm not sure who....)

  3. Indirectly, yes. The Plumber may have used an air compressor that had not been drained and forced the condensation from the tank into the lines while air testing for leaks.

  4. Ground water cannot enter a pressurized pipe.  If the gas line was disconnected outside it could have got water in it. I've seen water accidentally get into underground gas lines during new construction but the lines should be bled to remove all air and any water.

  5. your land lord is Nuts,

its ground water, and the pipes are bad,
