I just moved into my apartment on monday, and I came home today to a for sale sign. I'm worried that if the building is sold, I'll get kicked out even though my lease is supposed to be through June. How can I deter buyers from being interested in the apartment? Someone suggested leaving mouse traps and roach motels around, and leaving a bucket with a little water in it to make it look like there is a leak.

  1. chances are, whoever is buying it is still going to use it as a rental property, right? so unless you aren't paying your rent, the last thing he'll want is a vacant apt. if you aren't paying your rent, he should boot you. so relax, you're good.

  2. why would someone want to buy a apartment building and then kick there income out. unless it's in bad shape and needs lots of work, but if thats not the case, people look to buy those things already filled.
