Can you help me? It says that access is denied. How can I get around this? I can access all my data on the disc, but I can't go into my user's folder in documents and settings.

  1. Once i had a very similar problem and i'm quite sure the reason for this is while installing windows you made password on your account and checked "Make my files private" and you felt bit safer, but that's a great problem when in a situation like this.

It was years ago and now i only remember that me and my friend had a terrible night figuring out how to get pass it. When we tried almost everything what we could (even connecting to HDD from Win 95 and DOS) but still had no results, we decided to simply format disc and forget about getting our files out of it.

If the files you have in your HDD are not much of importance - format it

Not much of help but might save you hours of trying :D
