My laptop has a .bin file missing ?

My anti virus scanner found I have a .bin file missing

What does that mean? What what do I have to do?

There is a problem with AVG Updates.  The problem is NOT with your PC but with the AVG Server.

It will be fixed within 24 hours.

Problem solved, it is working now. I have just gone to update & the problem has been resolved.

I didn't do anything bar wait patiently for AVG to sort their prob out. So don't worry about uninstall/reinstalling & wasting download space etc. ;-P

I think AVG must have issued a bad update.

It looks like a few people are having the same problem.

My AVG virus scanner just gave me this error today too after I tried to update the virus database. It still scans alright, but displays the error after every update attempt. My guess is AVG will come up with a new update soon and the error will disappear.

it's not your laptop

it's your antivirus.

you're running AVG.

know how i know?

cuz there's an issue with one of their updates and you won't believe how many questions i've seen like this today.

they'll fix it soon hopefully.
