My laptop has a large notepad file, "DNSP1." I can't find out what it is?

If its a notepad file, open  it with notepad, see what's inside? check what is its file extension? is it ini or txt or something else.. If its txt, its safe to delete. if its ini, thats an information file, probably used by some application. Try this: Rename the file in DOS to DNSP1.000

The reason I say in DOS is because otherwise it may just become DSNP1.000.txt or ini rendering the whole purpose useless.
