My laptop has no option to hibernate or sleep

Question

I have no Hibernate tab under Power options. Also, in Power Options, The only option I have for ''When I close the lid...'' is ''Do Nothing''. I want it to go to sleep or hibernate.Fabulous site and service (unlike Experts Exchange which wants me to pay for their help, which is freely available elsewhere!)!
