My laptop is very slow and has alot of virus what can i do to fix the problem?

Backup any stuff you want to keep and then use the recovery disk to wipe everything out.

If a computer is already infected you can never be sure you got every virus on it so you should reinstall everything if you get a virus infection.

Download lavasoft's adaware program to help clean your hard drive. If that doesn't help you will need to format (which is a good idea every now and again anyways.)

why don't you try to buy a new license OS or just an open source OS and reformat your laptop.

Reformat your laptop then install an antivirus. Reformatting your laptop means everything in it will be erased so back up your files first.

Backup your device drivers to cd, backup any personal files, then reinstall by booting from your Windows restoration media.

Remember that installing anti-malware software at this late stage won't give you all the speed back, and you may not actually be able to remove all the malware. It certainly won't make it like new!

Well if you have a pc there are several things you should do to keep it running properly.  You should very often delete your browsing history and cookies from the menu on your internet browser.  Go to tools, internet options and the delete browsing history.  You should also click the option to delete cookies and add-ons.  Do that all the time..Next thing is to do a virus scan, you need antivirus software to do this.  If your pc doesn't have any it wont last long.  You can purchase these programs or download a free one like McAfee antivirus.  Just be warned that some of these programs can cause conflicts within the system.  Try to use only one.  Lastly if you have alot of stuff on your hard drive its prob a good idea too defragment your drive.

this is all pc stuff though. If you own a mac there are prob different things to do.

well i suggest that you buy top quality virus protection software like AVG or Norton.
