  1. where your power adapter plugs in, there are 3 points of contact to the motherboard, one is the actual power (soldered) and the other two are stablizers for the pcb for the plugin.  The problem is.. the two stabilizers will often act as a pivot point rather then stabilizers and cause the actual power connection to become unsoldered.  You can pull the lappy apart and resolder this.

  2. lol, is your outlet working? sometimes in older houses they don't.

if it's plugged into an extension cord, there could be a short in the wire.

i'll get back to you, but for now, answer mine http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... and have a star! (=

  3. Either your wall outlet is broken, or something inside the computer between the power socket and the battery is broken.

  4. I had something similar happen. My problem was a broken power supply - something internal in the hardware. Better have a computer tech take a look at it.

  5. If you replaced the battery this probabley won't work but try powering it on with out the battery in it

  6. if you've replaced the adaptor and battery and it still won't charge the battery or work from the adaptor then you probably have a faulty system board

i have a toshiba satellite pro p100-465 and a s***w i accidently dropped inside it whilst the hatch for the wi-fi adaptor was open (on the underside) caused the systemboard to short out this was replaced under warranty

if the battery has charge in it does it work off the battery? if yes then the replacement adaptor could be faulty in no then the system board is faulty
