I had a virus, I was trying to get rid of it, but I forgot to plug my laptop into the wall and it died, so I let it charge for a while, then when I turned it on, it gave me the options of starting Windows normally, using safe mode (which did not do anything), or run the computer as the last known good configurations, or something like that. But after that screen it goes to a blue screen with a bunch of writing on it, but it just flashes on too fast so I can't read it. I tried putting the Windows XP disk in, but it doesn't do anything. So what exactly do I do after I put the disk in?

Thanks :].

  1. That blue screen in windows is more commonly known as the blue screen of death. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your computer just took a dump. If you have stuff on your hard drive you want to save...like pictures, movies, games, etc... then I would take your hard drive or the computer to the store.

If your ready to just start over, that's where the windows disc and all your software discs come in handy. You can re-install windows by booting to the Windows disc and following instructions. It can get kinda technical so I would suggest calling your laptop manufacturer.

  2. Your laptop didnt die, it goes into hibernate mode

  3. Gee man lucky you, this happens also to me. My stuff wont start up. What I did I get the hard disk and make it as a slave on the other computer.

If it detects your harddisk then good, go to your Hard disk C: drive ( Maybe its on the E: drive now) Just simply go to its properties , click on disk clean up, then go to tools, click on check now, check all two boxes that automatically fix drive.

Rebooth computer, this repairs your system, that 1 to 5 phase of waiting.

After this turn off computer and get your hard disk and return this to your laptop. Make sure you had already set pin to its proper placement to master.

I hope this helps, email me at jfcinco@sriphils.com if your stuff has been recovered. Or if you need more info.

    I hope this helps.
