My laptop won't start properly!?

I have an HP Laptop, and for whatever reason it's been having some problems starting recently. When I press the power button all the lights go on, but the screen is still black, a couple of seconds later it turns of and restarts! And it will continue this on and off thing as long as you let it. I can sometimes get it up and running and it works fine, but this often happens when I start it. Please Help!

Hm this doesn't sound good. Did you try to reset the BIOS settings?

It's better to take the laptop to hp's support because there might be some hardware failure.
