I have an alienware computer and after it was reconfigured, the laptop wont detect the home wireless internet anymore. Before it was reconfigured, the laptop did detect the wireless internet but now it wont. I think that the internal wireless card may be turned off. Does anyone have any thing that could help me?

  1. on the sides of your computer, there should be a switch for wireless internet, turn that on. Maybe it is off. Turning it on allows the computer to start searching for wireless networks. Once its on, go to the little section next to the time on the bottom right corner. There, start left clicking on the icons until you see one that says "radar". Click it and a radar should open up, showing you the different wireless connections around you, depending on its distance from you. Or, you can click on one of the icons (that will say, you have wireless connection, something like that) when you roll over it with your mouse. Click that icon and a list of connections should show up, with its connection strength. From there, choose. This is what i do with my laptop, im not sure if ours is the same

  2. It could be that the wireless switch on your laptop is turn off. Try to check the radio button. Try switching it off and on. Then if it still not working, try to reinstall the driver of your wireless card. If it is still not detecting then your wireless card had gone bad.
