  1. ive heard of this...if you take a picture i can more accuratly diagnoss,

    but taking a wild guess here

    it could be

    Melanophore Migration

    Often a paling of the skin followed by black patches on body, usually on back or sides of fish. Photo: ( Common Goldfish with Melanophore Migration, a week after black spots first began to show.)

    possibly try this

    Nitrofura-G;

    how to know you need to use it:

    if you see Red Streaks, Fin and Tail Deterioration, Open Sores, General Bacterial Infections, Gill Diseases, and Fungal Infections.

  2. I agree with the septicemia diagnosis.  This causes hemorrhaging along the bloodstream, resulting in the network of veining you're seeing.  Along with an adequately sized and filtered tank, you'll need to perform more frequent water changes and begin a medication like Maracyn 2, Kanaplex, Terramycin, Metronidazole, Hexamit, Flagyl, Triple Sulfa, or Trisulfa.  If using minocycline or oxytetracycline based medications, keep the tank dark, as these drugs degrade (making them more toxic) with exposure to light.  Regardless of the medication you use, remove any activated carbon from the filter.

  3. It's likely just a bacterial infection or a blood disease like septicemia. You should have your water tested. An anti-bacterial fish food can help with getting it a bit healthier, but septicemia needs a tough medicating routine with salts and heat and honestly I wouldn't even bother trying to teach a novice with a goldfish how to treat half the problems fish get. No use treating the fish when your tank conditions are what caused the problem to begin with. It'll just get sick again.
