Note that it will take the Postal Service a few days to deliver it after it is mailed, so if it is mailed according to the IRS schedule on 7/11, you may not get it until early in the week of 7/14.

Some rebate checks in a given SSN range go out earlier in the week, but there does not appear to be any recognizable pattern to predict which checks get mailed out earlier in the week.

some people are getting there checks and letters together some are getting the letter first then checks and vice versa.if you go online to www.irs.gov. go to weres my refund and it will tell you what day it should be sent..

If you mean the website  http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0... where you key in your ss# and other info and it tells you what you will get it an when it will be mailed, I wouldn't worry about the letter, it'll show up eventually.

But if that site has no info for you, and you are just relying on the generic schedule with mail dates according to the last 2 digits of your ss#, then it's likely that your payment is delayed for some reason.

If you efiled very close to 4/15, or mailed your return after mid-March, it's likely that you missed the cutoff for your return being processed by 4/15 so missed this first round - if so, you'll get your check in late July or in August.

Website states if you qualify to keep the rebate it will be issued on the 11th.  But if you are not in full compliance with the IRS (filing all tax returns from 2002 thru 2006) the IRS will not issue the rebate until all returns are filed and processed.

ours are 77, we recieved the notice on the 1st i think and the notice date on there said the 30th, it says that it was expected to be here today - but i dunno what to think........ cause i aint even sure if it will be here today and we are really needing the money but oh well its the irs so it proabably wont be  - good luck
