My last AFL Question got deleted, don't understand Why?

TOO many $0ftc0cks out there, that are waaaaaaaaaaay too quick on the report button.

I copped it the other week, replying to a w@nker who made some comments about black people & thieving cars, al i said was that he'd set race relations b@ck to the time of $egregation & i was booted before it got to the post.

'Why?' That seems to be a very common question BK.  Unfortunately, in order to honestly reply to the question, without 'chatting' is proving to be quite difficult. Further, the possibility (probability) of being deleted in reply compounds the issue.  However, others that have experienced the incomprehensible, inconsistent long arm of deletion send empathy.  

Final quarter.  Score tied.  1 minute to go. The ump awarded the opposition an undeserved  free- right in front of goal.  What do you say?

It is not a question (and no I had nothing to do with me as I hadnt even seen the original).

There are some really "wonderful" people out there who take great delight in bullying other people. We have seen the schoolkids doing it through hate email and so on and it appears the adults (or at least the ones that didnt grow up) resort to bullying other yahoo members by getting them violations or having their questions/answers deleted. After all it is a kind of control thing if they can have your answer or whatever deleted and hit you with loss of points for a violation.



I have been hit before and this answer may be borderline too as some idiot out there may think I am calling them a bully.

From my experience your question isnt actually a question, its more or less a statement and probably couldnt be answered.  Your bit at the end "whats going on?".... well whats going on about what? I had trouble understanding what you were getting at. If you had of phrased it differently so that the intent was a bit clearer and maybe changed the end to "what do you think" at the end instead of whats going on then you probably would have got away with it.

I have found that scarcasm goes a long way in Yahoo. If you want to complain dont say anything nasty,.. just use positive terms in a sarcastic manner as I did earlier talking about all of those "lovely" peoplewho try to sanitize Yahoo (assuming they know what sanitations is). Someone commented that they got deleted for calling John howard a "Wally"  (obviously Yahoo dont know that Wally is the short version of the male name "Wallace" (or understand how easy it is to confuse Howard with a "Wallace"). I would however have put it differently and said something like... "I am sure that Howard knows what a wally is".

I am sure that you can out think those oh so "intelligent"  types that are causing you grief, so it is just a matter of being a bit inventative when you put your thoughts in writing.

OMG, Big Kev, so sorry to hear that :(

There is very little action here compared to catergories like P&S and R&S, so I suspect that its a select few who choose to hit the report button due to their immaturity.

I know the trolls that lurk here and their silly excuses don't wash with me.  Just look at how many thumbs down cutemum2 got..seriously...wtf?

Regardless of what a couple on here are saying I don't report posts in here - I have never done so.

I have just received a couple of e-mails from users of this forum about some comments by a user in here. I have now seen where she is accusing me of reporting posts & that I have "seven" accounts! Seven, for goodness sake! How ridiculous a suggestion.

I don't use this site of late due to the petty personal comments continually being directed at me by this same person. Little does she realize that some other users in here don't appreciate her personal insults towards me - I have e-mails sympathysing with what is happening.

This will probably be reported & deleted but someone will read it & undoubtedly relay the contents to her.

I don't come in here anymore due to abuse & being blocked because I had the audacity to rubbish Collingwood & Carlton & a couple of the regulars couldn't have someone upsetting their personal little apple cart!

Mate, as I said I got violated (and not by a Carlton Supporter this time either :-)) for saying John Howard was a Wally.  Someone has probably reported it as rant or rave or whatever they call it.

Of course under that rule just about every answer on AFL would be a violation and you wouldn't be able to allow Port supporters on here at all!

Funny thing is I suspect the ones who do the most reporting are the ones who offend the most.

Just satisfy yourself that there are Wally's in the world far worse than honest John.

ok so it may NOT be a question .. but there have been numerous times where i have read something that has been posted as an answer and have then thought of a question to ask ( as in was inspired by initial post) .......

SOMETIMES .. I think the policing gets carried away with itself .. If people don't think the question is a question or worth answering .. then they should ignore it.
