Question:

My last chance. . . .?

I've been playing volleyball since the 8th grade. We used to have a really good squad untill all the seniors left. When I got in 10th grade, we had to start all over. The first year was a disaster. People quit every other day. Our record was something like 1-10. The second year was and improvement. We made it to state, but we were last place in our conference.

Next year, our team will be all seniors. This is our last chance to prove that we have skills. I'm more than likely going to be the Varsity captain. What can I do to inspire my squad? I know we can do way more that people expect us to.

  1. so u should tell them they that they should do their best and try their hardest at any game and always keep their confidence up always and always and never give up!!remind them there is no i in team you all have to work together to make a team that is what a team should be if u follow that ur team will have  a great time!! never ever become a control freak if u do ur teammates will hate u and probably will not listen to u and will not do their best and hate ur guts!! always be polite and build up their confidence!!that will always keep their mind to do their best!!

  2. hey have you ever heard of the cheer "pump pump it it up"

if you have get in a circle and do this before every game it will create good attitudes. Inspire-   set a goal that everyone agrees with- if you reach it set a more challenging goal example - everybody get ten good serves in a row - next time it would be-15- but you cant go on till every one has completed the first goal- another one would be to try to get 5 good passes to the setter when another person serves- give them a reward after they a acomplish goals- all of these goals are short term- now u need to think of long term goals  like- winning ur next tournament or something like that

  3. i would let your squad know that you expect that out of them and let them that you grew together as a team  and there is no stopping a team that plays together. but they can stop " I ", THERE IS NO I IN TEAM. put your mind to it and you can do anything.

  4. I'll let you know what to do.....be vocal in everything that involves the team...you know practices, prep rallies...EVERYTHING!

and let your game speak for itself, that you means you bust your butt and let that attitude rub off on everyone...You guys have grown together, so you shouldnt have too hard of a time....good luck with training.
