I don't have to attach anything INSIDE the tank..do I? Like.. I can just pull the old one out, put the new one in and it will float or something inside the tank..?

After I bolt it back in place, ofcourse.

Thanks. I never did this before.

  1. look in the book it will give you step by step how to

  2. If you purchased a float/pump combination then you simply pull the old one up slowly and work it out the hole.

Then you lower the new one back in, being careful not to bend the float wire as you work it through the hole.

If you bought just the pump you will have to remove the old pump from the assembly and put on the new pump before you lower it back in.

Either way you will not have to make any connections inside the tank.

    Good Luck!

  3. it depends on what car it is some fual pumps are on the outside of the tank otheres are in the engine compartment if you are unsure contact a garage as it is dangerouse to do anything PETROL

  4. once you pull out the fuel pump and look at the new one make sure they are the same and put it in the same way it can out, thats it

  5. the new pump should go back in the same way the old pump came out the mounting bolts hold it in place be sure the sealing ring or gasket seals properly or youll have fuel fumes lurking around the fuel tank.
