If you're an American, you don't need to be greatly concerned about ethnic considerations in naming your child. My mother and her 5 siblings all had a French last name. Her sister's name was Ruth, one brother was named Bob (okay, Robert Allen), another was named Gene (Eugene Wilson), another brother was named Dan (James Daniel) and one was named Louis (Louis Albert). Hardly any of my Dubuisson (my mother's maiden name) relatives have French names (except for Uncle Louis). (Well, I do have one cousin whose middle name is "Marie".)

forget the amber  how about sara jean  i dont like names that sound like something besides a name  like amber (mades me think of a fire or wandering aimlessly   you asked my opinion
