Thanks for the quick responce:) I'm usually on a 28-30 day cycle and never spot between periods. Don't know if this changes anything. I've calculated my next period to be on 8/26

  1. I am an OB nurse so I know a little about this stuff.  The time frame you indicated tells me that the spotting occurred around a time of possible implantation.  Alot of women will spot around this time and it usually lasts 1-3 days.  If you are trying to get pregnant than I hope this is what is happening! Good luck!

  2. This is entirely dependent on when you expect your NEXT period. It's impossible to count forward from your last CD1 without knowing your normal cycle length, unfortunately. So I'm afraid the answer above is only correct if you're a perfect 28-day kinda gal :)

Implantation spotting which normally pink or brown, not red, should only last a day or so. In 84% of cases, implantation occurs 8-10dpo, which is the same as saying around 4-6 day before your next period. If this timeframe seems correct with your cycle then yes that could be it.

Alternatively, it could be premenstrual spotting, which tends to happen to some women in their late 20s or early 30s and is normal but not related to pregnancy.

  3. I'm a womens health nurse as well. Sounds like the timing is perfect for implantation bleeding. Sounds like a good chance for a pregnancy here. (assuming you don't typically have spotting)

Obviously you won't know for sure until you take the test. Remember even the early detection ones will sometimes come back negative up until you've missed your period. It depends on your hormone levels.
