My last period was on July 17th, and last night I noticed I had a clear slimy discharge what does that mean?

By the way this site helps me so much. Everything I have learned about ovulation is from the questions and answers from here.

So, I should be ovulating 14 days after the 17th right? But, I have read here that the discharge is a sign. What do yall think? Thanks in advance...

How long are your cycles, typically? Take the next date you expect your period to begin and count back 14 days. That is a very general rule of thumb as most women don't have 28 day cycles with ovulation occurring dead in the middle. Before I got pregnant with DS I had 25-26 day cycles so I typically ovulated between 8 and 13 days after the first day of my period...usually 12 days though.

The discharge you described is referred to as "egg white" and is considered the most fertile! :-) It's great you DTD last night!!! If you feel up to it tonight, do it again. If not, try early in the morning. Just enjoy the lovemaking as much as possible and I hope you catch that eggie!!!! :-)
