  1. I preferred Ford trucks to all others in my construction business. I would keep them at least 7 years just to get the depreciation for taxes used up then sell them because they were still good trucks even though they had been used hard. Chevys wouldn't last and Dodge trucks need work the minute you drive one off the dealer's lot.

  2. My 88 Iroc Z-28 was just taken from me by the city for bad registration. That car still had the original engine and transmission and it still passed smog.........It had 285'000 miles on it and still ran great........so if I got 20 years you should be able to get 3.........Oh PS.....I never changed the oil either

  3. toyotas have a good reputation, same as nissan and honda.

  4. sorry pal, but i told you my truthful opinion! look at my last answer, someone asked what my first vehicle was. i told them a 1952 chevy pickup truck. it was 32 years old when i bought it and still have it. all original runs like a top, so yeah i believe if you take care of something it will last for d**n near ever. i like OLDER dodges before iococca ran the co. to the ground and had to cut corners and sell junk. still love chevy's and ford is the toughest cheapest longest lasting truck on the road. only had 1 import, a 1976 toyota and since i only paid $100.00 for a truck that lasted acouple years who cares what make it is? i stand by what i said, for most of the late 70's through the 80's dodge sold c**p.

  5. keep changing your oil and you should be fine

  6. I think regular oil changes, is a very important factor.  xox

  7. my mom's gotten 17 years out of her car it's a Cherokee Jeep and we love it lol it's so cool!

  8. nothing wrong wit the truck get it if u want its just american cars aren't made to last like they used to they have manufacturing defects for the intention of making u fix them regularly for high prices, i just sold my saturn sl2 because some ring in it makes it consume oil and bought a talon tsi (eclipse gsx) because japanese designed cars are meant to get 250k+ miles and the parts are cheap
