Does it run after you prime it?  if so you have a clogged jet in your carb.  Take off the carb and run a thin wire through the jets (small holes in the carb).  that should fix your problem.  just a thin wire.  Some carb cleaner like they sell in auto parts stores will help, too, but you'll still need to unplug the jet as the fuel will varnish and plug the holes.  good luck.

Fuel line filter?  Could be the check valve in the Carbureator that works with the float.  I think the valve is stuck shut in the carb.

Check for water in the gas. Check the air filter.  Check the air mixture.  Make sure choke is not staying closed after starting.

On one mower, the choke cable was broken inside the housing.

Clean the fuel filter, then clean the air filter. If it still does it, the plug needs replacing. Then put super gas in it and it should run like a top.

A little condensation water has mixed with your gas. Drain the tank, put in new filter, make sure your fillup container is drained and dry before you get new gas. Happens to millions of people. No big deal.

It its gas you may have clogged fuel lines or fuel filter. In any event, it sounds like ffuel isnt getting to the engine. Maybe after you start it, give a good amount of gas and see if it will stay running while u drive it.

Have you cleaned the air filter lately?  Could also be a partial fuel line clog.

there is a small diapram between the carb and the tank if it has a hole in it it will not keep pressure.  sometimes the just get difficult try to start it keep it running with the primming bulb for about a minute.if that doesnt work your cab may need to be rebuilt
