My lawnmower won't start....

hey i have a piece of **** john deere push lawnmower. it's not self - propelled. it is extremely hard to start for some reason? i can't even start it in choke. it has a bunch of gas and oil....so i don't know what the problem is. i am home aloneand i'm too young to drive. i need to mow the lawn FAST. what do i do? =(

  1. Basically you have to remove the spark plug.It will have oil and unburned gas on it.You have to wipe it clean and replace it.Don't use the choke as there is already gas in the line.Try it with one or two strokes then gently pull or push the choke one third of the way and give it a try again.


  2. Find the biggest pair of scissors you can find and get to it.

  3. When was the last time it ran?

    If it has been sitting around afor a few months the gas may have turned into  a sludge in the carb and maybe be gumming it up.

  4. Check around the carb or the base of the fuel tank for a fuel shut off.
