My layers in my hair won't show?

I just got my hair cut to my shoulders then she did 3" layers whatever that means. Anyways, I can't see the layers at all they blend way too good. I wanted to see the layers and I can't and right now I have no money. My hair is frizzy at times and I try combing it and using a hair dryer at the same time and just combing it and air drying it and nothing helps the frizz. How can I make my layers show better?

  1. try putting some product (hair wax) on the ends. it will make your hair piecey and you'll see the layers. You could also try flipping out the ends.

  2. use a product like "hard to get" by bedhead. you can get it from ulta for about $10. it doesnt make your hair hard, and it really defines layers and gives your hair texture. only put on the ends of your hair, though.

and to take care of the frizz try "frizz-ease serum" by john freida. use it when your hair is wet. you may want the extra strength formula if your hair is naturally curly or very wavy (curly hair tends to be very dry and prone to breakage). if you blow dry your hair or straighten it go with the thermal protection formula. this one will protect your hair from heat damage which will reduce frizz in the long run. when you've dried and styled your hair apply something like "fekkai glossing cream" (you can find it at bath and body works, victorias secret, sephora, and ulta). "girl toys" by bedhead and the "frizz-ease serum" also work well on dry hair to reduce frizz, but ive found that the creams are usually better at getting rid of the frizz. when you apply any of these products start about three inches away from the scalp, so that your hair wont look greasy.

    i hope this is helpful!

    good luck =)

  3. well find the layers and bend them out

  4. i actually just learned to cut my own layers.

put your hair in a realllllyyy high ponytail ontop of your head.

and cute STRAIGHT across. i found the tip on youtube.

i love how it turned out. to make them show more...

i flip out the individual layers. gives it more body :) good luck!

  5. Have you tried round brushing your hair dry? The round brush will definitely show off the layers a lot better than if you just straighten your hair. Here's a video on how to do that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9lYg_zBD...

Make sure you put some kind of serum or leave-in conditioner in your hair before you blow dry it. This will eliminate frizz and keep your hair shiny and sleek all day. You can get some at any drug store like Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy in the hair care aisle.

What I also do with my layers is after I straighten my hair, I put my head upside down and lightly hairspray it all over. Then when I flip my hair back over my layers have a lot more volume and show more. Of course I brush over it so it doesn't look scary, but don't brush too much!

  6. pomade, very little though, and kinda put it in your hair while ruffling it.

then smooth it out, juts a BIT, and they'll show.
