Question:

My left earphone has suddenly gone quieter than the right one. Why?

I have no idea why or how this happened. There are no marks or tears in the wire. Doesn't work in any device in which I put them in. Can hardly hear the left earphone at all.

  1. It is probably the way you plug it into the device. Push it in as far as it can go, or for that matter pull it out a bit... i'd just get new earphones.


  2. Are the wires tangled? Or have been for a while? Other than that, perhaps you just picked up a dodgy set

  3. Headphones don't usually last very long before problems start. I go through several pairs a year. Have you checked the left earphone by listening with your right ear cos i was thinking it may be your left ear and not the earphone. If its not this then make sure your headphone jack is plugged into the socket correctly cos if mine is not plugged in correctly one of my earphones usually sounds quieter. If none of these work then i suggest a new pair of earphones and make sure you keep the receipt so if you have any problems you can take them back. I hope this helps.
