My left eye hurts?

I have astigmatism, and I wear contacts. Lately, my left eye hurts so badly I can't wear my contact in that eye. I have been wearing glasses, and it's gotten better, but now it is hurting again, and I'm not even wearing contacts. Help! Everytime I close my eye, it hurts to move it around. The only time it doesn't hurt is when my eye is focused in the middle, and it sometimes hurts when my eyelid is closed or open. It's annoying and I need some answers soon please!

You may have damaged your cornea.  Go to an eye doctor right away!  If you can't get in or cannot afford an eye doctor, go to the emergency room.  Although eyes heal remarkably quickly, if you happen to have an injury to your eye, the worst case scenario is you could lose your sight in that eye.
