I can manage without glasses but its annoying to do so because my eyes see 2 different images leading to depth perception problems

  1. I know this feeling.  My right eye has normal vision and my left eye has 20/50 vision with a prescription of plano -1.50 axis 50.  The vision in my left eye has been blurry since I was a child due to astigmatism.  I was prescribed corrective lenses for it in my teens.  I did not start wearing them regularly until I was 30 when my right eye started having difficulty compensating for the vision in my left eye.  I had trouble fusing the images together when looking at distance objects.  I also had depth perception problems as well.

I had trouble adjusting to wearing eyeglasses so I choose to wear a contact lens in my left eye most of the time.  Contacts have less minification/magnification than eyeglasses because the correction is closer to your eye.  I found that it was much easier for me than wearing eyeglasses.  My vision also feels better balanced with a contact lens.  I typically just wear my eyeglasses at home when needed, usually while watching TV or playing video games.

If you are able to function ok without eyeglasses then go for it.  I did it for years without any problems.  If you are having problems then I suggest correcting your vision as needed.

    Good Luck

  2. My eyes were -1.50 and -3 for a long time and the difference between them was very noticeable so I understand what you mean. I think if you got used to seeing 20/20 with both eyes you would really appreciate the difference.

I agree that one contact lense would be the best option as you wouldn't be burdened with glasses but you'd still get the best vision possible.

  3. Your best bet is probably going to be a single contact lens...

If your binocular status is such that the blur in the right eye is noticeable... (and if you're right handed, you are likely to be right eye dominant even though that eye has the worse distance vision).. you are odds-on to be happier with it corrected.

If pseudomyopia (ciliary spasm) has been eliminated, no exercises are going to eliminate a 2.00 D difference.
