Hello,

My left eye is quite watery, and during the day, I'll see these weird black lines and shapes in my vision. They are very faint, but I can still just see them. What could this be?

P.S. I couldn't get an appointment with my eye doctor until September, so I can't go in ASAP and see her.

  1. These sound like floaters. Floaters can be black dots or thin lines often describe as being like part of a cobweb. This may be due to a 'vitreous separation'. Almost definately if you have had odd flashes of white light as well.

I dont know if this is the cause of the eye being watery, but I have it and my eye does ache. It is doubtful, but if you get an increase of floaters (like a shower of them), a black line or a big black blob in your vision or your vision deteriorates you must get medical attention straight away.
