My left eye is more dry than the right?

Question

I have been having dryness in my left eye for a while now.Both eyes feel more dry than they used to,but my left one is so dry that it aches sometimes and gets blurry.I started oral contraceptives about two years ago to help a hormone problem I have and wondered if they are the cause of the dryness and if it is normal that one eye is worse than the other?I do not have insurance,and don't want to run to the Dr for dry eyes.Any suggestions-I use artificial tears and they help some,but not enough.GOD-bless

I use Thera Tears for lubrication. I wear gas permeable hard contacts. The Thera Tears works pretty well. I notice that sometime my left eye gets dryer than the right also which is probably a coincidence. Thera Tears isn't just for contact lens lubrication but for non-contact wearers also.

Hey! I have the same issue. Just I have it on both eyelids. I use a lotion for dry skin. You can use it anywhere, I just use it on the eyelids. IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC! I got it from walmart, it was like 2 or 3 dollars for a HUGE bottle. It's like a cheap brand, equate maybe? But, it takes like one suirt or less for each eye, but sometimes it gets in my eye so be careful.

So I guess any cheap brand lotion for dry skin would work.

I've had this bottle for years, hasnt gone out. AMAZING
