Hope anyone can give me an answer to this one.

I went out walking today. When I came home and took my contacts off irealized my vision was very blurry and the left eye didnt focus so well.

When I looked in the mirror the pupil on that eye was dialated. I had a nap and it still wont go back.

I put my eyeglases on and I can read with both eyes but the pupil remains dialated.

Please help.

  1. This could be serious, and you need to find an eye Doctor that will see you immediately!

  2. Mydriasis is common with several severe and several simple health problems. The only way to know is to see a doctor. It could have many causes. Some Migraine sufferers get this before, during or after a migraine episode, some people who have serious problems cropping up can have this. There are a bunch of things in between as well. No one can really know, so you need to call your GP and start there. Really, do not just shrug it off, it could be something serious. I hope it isn't!

  3. Go see an eye doctor!

  4. I agree, see a doctor.  A sudden onset of a dilated pupil can be a sign of a nerve or brain problem.  Good luck.
