My left temple has been twitching. why?

recently, even though I've gotten enough sleep, my left temple has been twitching every so often. What could it be? im 22

I had a persistent involuntary twitch around my eye and my doctor said it was a sign of emotional stress.  He said it would go away when the source of my stress was resolved and it did.

You should see your doctor.  It may be a nervous tic.

I get them occasionally in my right eyelid when I have been working with spreadsheets for several hours.  I have found that gently pressing on the twitching spot makes it stop for awhile, or sometimes for the rest of the day.
