My legs and running?

Hey, I'm a 13 year old middle distance runner and at the end of practise my legs always start to get sore and cramp up. What is this from and how can I prevent it? (I warm up and stretch really well before i start so it can't be that.)

  1. CRamps arent always caused by not stretching......eat a banana 10 mins before the race because the banana provides potassium which stops the cramps

  2. my first suggestion is to stay hydrated..i run track and i carry a waterbottle with me all day long and drink water all day. second, run in pants..even when it's hot out...pants help keep your legs loose and warm...i am a hurdler, and i always warm up in pants (excecpt when actually going over a hurdler) i may be burning up, but at least i wont pull something...finally, to get rid of soreness, after practice try an ice bath. it works wonders! good luck with your running
