  1. I own the Alpha-100 by Sony. It takes 55 mm filters. My 75-300 zoom by Sony also uses 55 mm. I found cheap ones on the shelf at Walmart.

  2. i got filters the size of the lens.  ask at the store if they don't stock, they should be able to order.

  3. It varies with manufacture and lens. If you look in the barrel of the lens it may be printed in there. If not go to the manufactures web site and pull up your lens. The Nikon kit lens often has 52 as do some of my older prime lenses but most of my other lenses have larger one. If you email me the brand I can help look it up for you

  4. Check on your lens cap or on the lens beneath the glass. It'll usually say what size filter you need. 55mm is a common size, but you can never be too careful. Buying the wrong size filter is so frustrating.

Also, I wouldn't buy a lens attachment, save your money for an actual lens. The image quality with those attachments is usually horrible.

  5. Are you taling about the sony 18-70 kit lens?  I have this lens, the size you need is '55' for this lens.

The size you need should be written on the lenses somewhere.
