My lense on my Cannon power shot a520 is stuck HELP!?

I have a Cannon power shot a520 and i guess at one point the lense had been pushed in and it got stuck half way, so my friend thoguh shed be a genious and force it back into place, and it still doesnt work, its just stuck and when i turn it on it shows a green light showing its on but after a few seconds it just beeps and turns off,

Anyone have any ideas whats wrong, and how to fix it?

Your power shot is Shot... Forcing the lense is not a good thing to do. Best thing to do is take it to a local camera shop that does repairs. If it is an easy fix, they will take care of it. If it is a major deal- read expensive- they will tell you that also, in which case you will have to trash the camera and buy a new one. If you get a new one, don't let your friend touch it!

the same thing happened to my cannon camera

and well after that it could be fixed and my dad just threw i was soooo sad that day idk what do tell ya .
