My leopard gecko has little holes behind his arms

can anyone help me they look like indentations in his armpits?

  1. what your referring to are known as axial pockets(mite pockets). the theory is that they evolved these pockets as a way to limiting the damage done to them by external parasites like mites. by providing a spot for them that is more resilient to the damage caused by external parasites.


  2. That is very normal in leopard geckos.

    mine has them too.

  3. those indents are very normal so no need to freak out every thing is ok mine has 'em too
