it might still be in shock, jk. most likely just  terrified of humans we're like giants to them, or the leopard gecko may just not be handled well (some animal species do not do well being handled)

nothing is wrong you must not hold it enough or feed it enough because it knows you feed it an would look to to for food

Why SHOULDN'T it be scared?

Most reptiles do not like being handled. Some tolerate it betters than others. With frequent handling, most leopard geckos learn to tolerate it eventually.

i think u might not be feeding him enough.

does he/she have shelter to hide in?

is the temp right?
