  1. Yeah, it's pretty normal. Leos are nocturnal (active at night), and don't come out in bright light or daytime situations.

One thing that I have noticed is that if I turn off the overhead lights and just have a small light in the corner of the room my geckos are a lot more active. Another thing is the more hides they have to choose from the more secure they feel, and consequently the more active they will be.

Here's a link to a decent leopard gecko site. Hope this helps!

  2. yes,,,mine does to....when your sleeping they get out cause their noctornel (they sleep in day, active at night)

  3. it depends on the gecko. Both of mine sleep until dark, my female always sleeps ina shelter or on a rock and my male always sleeps on the dirt in the open.

  4. Yes, mine usually stays in his humid hide during the day.

  5. That is pretty normal, but if you want them to be more active you can provide them with plants and wood to climb on and stimulate them.

  6. IF you have a bright light hovering over their cage, you could turn it off, they might be sensitive th the harsh light. OR like someone else said, they are nocturnal, shut of the light.... it might help

  7. yes

  8. its totally normal because they are nocturnal animals so they are probably sleeping all day and moving at night when you sleep.

  9. Yeah -My gecko's do the same thing.

I actually just put alot of rocks and fake branches in there and onw of them has come out of hiding but the other one is still under there.
