My leopard geckos skin looks dull can i soak him in warm water for a min or how ever long?

  1. just leave him alone  he is about to shed.


  2. Mist him with water instead.

    Get a plant mister from Walmart and squirt him occasionally.

    I think he's getting ready to shed his skin.  They look a little dull for a while, then shed and look amazing.

    The problem with giving him a bath is you might change his temperature too fast and he'll go into shock.

    Shock can be fatal.

    Remember that reptiles are cold blooded.  They're the same temperature as the air around them.  If you suddenly put him in a warm bath, it raises the temperature too fast and hurts him.

  3. If you want to bath him to help with the shed, make sure the water is just above room temp, not too cold but not hot. I would allow him to soak in water only as long as he stays warm, not the water stays warm. Probably 10-15 mins should be good.
