Question:

My leopard geckos teeth get stuck to reptile carpet!HELP!!!!

Whenever she goes after a cricket and sh misses her teeth get caught on the reptile carpet.

  1. The carpet nap is too long.  It should be VERY short/tight for geckos.

    You can just use plain brown wrapping paper, aged newspaper (at least a week, so the ink is dry and fumes have evaporated) , or paper towels on the bottom of her cage, and that would solve the problem and make her happier.

  2. I use non-adhesive shelf liner in my lizard cages.  It comes in a roll in kitchen department of any store.  It has a rubbery feel, looks great, and cleanups a breeze.  Otherwise you can use papertowels or newspaper.  Good for you for not using sand--it kills!!
