My lg226 wty monitor starts

Question

my lg226 wty monitor starts up and then baclk light goes out leaving my panel black. if I power it off and back on again light comes on monitor works fine for a5 secs or so and back light goes out again any ideas.....All cables are hooked up properly and video card is working fine with other monitors.
