My license had been revoked and I was wondering how to get a permit to drive to and from my jobs. I live in Davenport, IA and was wondering what are the qualifications and how do I go about in obtaining one?

  1. I have had my license suspended in the past and was able to obtain what is called a red license in Colorado. It is like you described, to and from work and school. I was offered the opportunity when my license was initially suspend but it meant that instead of a six month suspension, I would have a year with the red license. I know that several other state have the same policy and that you will probably have to have a hearing of some sort with the department of revenue, the DMV, or DDS depending on who controls the process. Contact your local DMV and they can provide you with the contact information you will need. The hearing will most likly be more like an interview as it was for me and it wasn't hard to get the red license.

    Good Luck.

  2. you dont...but the people you ask are the ones who revoked it...good luck with that.

  3. By going to see the Judge.
