My license is suspended how can I go about getting it restricted so I can drive back and forth to work?

My license is suspended for unpaid traffic tickets from over 3 years ago that I forgot I had, But i am the sole provider for my family. I would like to know if there is away I ca get my license Restricted so that I can drive back and forth to work there is no public trasportation that runs to that side of town in that time of the morning for me to make it to work. I live in CA please help

  1. You may qualify for a ( hardship licence ).  Most States have this . You can log on to ( Hardship drivers licence )  good luck !!!

Contact the courts & get the restitution made for getting the traffic tickets taken care of, if you haven't done so already.  Also, call the BMV/DMV/License Bureau to see what steps you have to go through to get work only driving priviledges til your license is reinstated.  It could be paying a fee, plus what you owe for your unpaid tickets, going in front of a judge, or combination of both.  Please don't drive until you get the matter resolved.  If you get stopped for a traffic violation or have an accident with a suspended license, you can make the situation much worse on yourself & your family.  Good luck!!

  4. Don't drive anyway!  (What a stupid reply!!)  Driving with a suspended license can get you in some big trouble.  Go to court and work something out with the judge.  And, from now on pay the meters or pay the ticket.
