  1. Rain-x all your window's to help a little.  Remember to turn your headlights on too.

  2. If you can't take the test in a regular rain, you aren't a capable driver.  Sorry.

Many years back, when I learned to drive, my father wouldn't let me use the car for the test until I had experience summer and winter, rain and shine, highway and city, across narrow bridges, in snow and on ice, in the rain, fog, etc.  Every person I taught to drive was taught the way I learned.  If your driver training hasn't included some inclement weather, you have not been given complete driver training.

  3. Most DMV's do not test in the rain for saftey reason's.

  4. Is your car going to melt or something?

Oh no, water might fall from the sky!

If you can't drive in the rain, you don't deserve to have a license.

  5. as long as you are careful, you will pass.  I think it might be easier since you don't have to worry about going to slow, as for you can fail/lose points for going under 20 mph.  Be sure to look both ways and do it in a way they will notice.  And try to make the driver feel as comfortable as possible.

  6. Go for the test since you'll be driving in all kinds of weather later on.  Just remember that you might slide on oil so don't break too fast or don't slam on the breaks either for your test, and don't follow to close to other cars, remember to use your lights and wipers.  This will give you good experience.  If you go for your test and it's raining too hard then your instructor for sure will not get you out in that.

  7. Go for it (I did).  You'll have to drive in the rain someday anyway.

Just make sure you allow for weather conditions and if that means driving a bit slower than the posted speed limit to allow for the rain then so be it.  Also, go slowly when driving through a puddle of water and allow a bit more following distance from the vehicle in front of you than you would otherwise if the weather were dry.

  8. Pretty sure if the roads are wet that they will not be giving driving tests. Atleast thats the rules here. It's a safety issue. Wish you well on your test when you take it.

  9. Take it in the rain. They aren't going to have you go on any major highways. Only local roads where the speed limit is 40 MPH or lower. You'll have to drive in the rain sooner or later. It is no big deal. Your car is not going to become one giant hydroplane. Everything is cool. Take the test.

  10. Take it an remember what you learned in school because you will need to learn how to drive in the rain sooner or later and this just might be the perfect situation.

  11. you will have to drive in the rain sometime. id actually take it cuz when you pass in the rain you'll feel more accomplished and it will seem less irritating when you face the weather later.
