Question:

My license was incorrectly suspended?

I was pulled over late tonight [this morning] for speeding, I have a feeling that the trooper confused me for someone else because he sped past me without lights [i was in the center lane], and I thought he might be going for one or two cars that outstripped the little group I was driving in, but then he slowed down and I slowed down when he did, and as other cars outstripped me, he came to a stop on the side of the road and then pulled me over. When he was running my license through the system, it came up as having been suspended since September for supposedly driving without insurance. 1) I have never driven an uninsured or unregistered vehicle 2) I didn't drive in the month of September as I was in college 3) I have never owned a vehicle 4) I had also never been pulled over before.

  1. go to dmv, get ready to put up a fight.

  2. Yikes! I hope no one stole your identity. You should get an attorney.

  3. Sounds as if he issued you a ticket.  If so, the ticket surely has your plate number and your drivers license number listed.  Check to see if the numbers match your numbers.  If they don't, take all of the info to the arresting authority and get it straightened out.  If everything matches, you will have to proof that the violations on your record are not a result of your actions.  Good luck

  4. Take your proof of insurance to DMV and see if they can straighten out the mess. Once its settled, take your proof of innocence before the judge.

  5. dmv, or get a lawyer
