My license was revoked for a speeding ticket, will that hurt my chances for enlisting in the Navy?

  1. only if its an open case when ur trying to enlist! get it closed first!


  2. Probably, you must have been going like 140 mph, or have had like 6 speeding tickets.  Either way, not really responsible.

  3. You better let your recruiter know - if your rating "rate" requires a security clearance and you don't let them know it could be grounds for you not getting the clearance - no clearance in some instances equals no job.  Contact him ASAP and get the ticket fully taken care of it there is any pending litigation.

  4. It certainly doesn't help your chances.  If you're going in for a high level program like Nuclear Power, you may not qualify based on the "irresponsibility factor" of getting speeding tickets.  If yoou are going for a job that requires a security clearance, the Navy will do its homework and I saw guys disqualified in "boot camp."  Take care of them and be honest with your recruiter.  It's the only way to get the job you want instead of having to settle for something less.


  5. It will hurt your chances but not make it impossible.
