  1. Let me tell you alittle about the people you base your fears on.

Religion played a prominent role in the life of the Maya. They worshiped a multitude of deities, 160 of them being mentioned in one document. To name just a few, there was a creator god, a corn god, a rain god, and a sun-god. Women made pilgrimages to the temple of the goddess Ixchel on the island of Cozumel to pray for fertility or, if they were already pregnant, to plead for a successful birth.

To the Maya, each day had religious importance, and each month on the Maya calendar had its own festival. Special ceremonies were also held in connection with the burial of the dead. After being painted red, corpses along with some of their personal belongings were wrapped in straw mats. Then they were buried under the floor of the house in which they had lived. It was somewhat different for the rulers, for they were laid to rest in the pyramids, underneath the temples. Their servants were killed and then buried with them, along with various utensils that the Maya believed would be useful in the next life.

As part of their religious observance, the Maya sometimes pierced the earlobes or the lower extremities. They even pierced the tongue. Scenes depicted in sculpture and murals and on pottery clearly show that sacrifice was also a part of Maya worship. “They frequently practiced it upon a variety of animals,” writes Dr. Max Shein in his book The Precolumbian Child, “but the supreme sacrifice was that of human life. The victims of these rites were enemy soldiers and slaves, but also free-born children of both sexes.” Some historians have said that young girls were once offered as brides to the rain god by being thrown alive into a sacred pool at Chichén Itzá. If a girl survived until sundown, this was interpreted to mean that the rain god was content with the bride that had previously been offered. Hence, the girl would be pulled out of the water.

The predominant religion of the modern-day Maya is nominally Catholic, and the church has made great efforts to win the favor of the native population.

But the acceptance of Catholicism does not mean that the Maya have abandoned the religion of their ancestors. On the contrary, many Catholic priests accept the blending of church practices and teachings with native rituals. For example, the Maya have long subscribed to animism, the belief that objects—whether animate or inanimate—contain a life force. This concept has been accepted by the church, though veiled in a cloak of Catholicism, causing some church leaders to wonder how much paganism the church can tolerate and yet still call itself Christian.

You can believe them or what Jesus said about for telling the end.

“Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:4-14, 36)

  2. Yeah I freaked too when I realised nobody will oficially tell anyone anyway.-  It would create too much panic.

IF something big was going to happen, the military bods would scurry underground - and order some weekenders to stop looting and start shooting people.    But it wouldn't change anything really.

On another note, there have been a few very near misses by asteroids. Latest was TU24 in February this year. I looked for news - nothing. NASA had a plot on it on their Near Earth Object program (look it up and put in TU24 )

It came close - too close. The strange thing was - they stopped the plot 8 hours before possible impact - last odds 50/50 on Austrailia.

Then a complete blackout - untill 3 minutes to impact - when they said it was a miss.

You have to understand the powers that Be won't tell you.- Even if you shout RUN.  What you can do in this time is think that it can't hit 6 Billion people all at once, and it is very possible you will be left floating on various cr@p along with a lot of people.  The big difference between you and them will be you have prepared mentally for this - and they are panicking, so learn a few survival skills and how to swim, and you stand a better chance than most.

Just think you're not going to let a hunk of space rock beat you - and you're a surrvivor !

If you need antidepressants, I can reccomend a few that seem to be working.

  3. You need some professional help.. To fear things that U know about ,but to fear somthing that probably does not exixt. There is a religious saying; do not worry about things that is out of control but only worry about what is under your control.

  4. Don't put too much into either video.  The first is likely the optical illusion like the others said.  The second is a video plays on people's emotions and deliberately created to drive fear, uneasiness, and possibly panic.  Basically, it's just an artist's over-glorified interpretation of what he thinks it would be like it something like this happened and it's made to scare.  Second, the whole Planet X idea has been around a while.  The idea that there is a planet or celestial body out there that has a huge path it follows around the sun.  There has been evidence of some that are out there.  However, the whole idea of the end of the world comes from doomsday panickers that have taken the idea of another planet out there and merged it with the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012 AND ancient Sumerian texts that explain the origins of humans from another planet (known as Nibiru).  These are all combined to predict the end of the world in a terrible, planetary disaster.  All of it was started in a book in the 70's called the Twelvth Planet.  More than likely, it started out as a money-making scheme playing on people's emotions and has since snowballed.  Even in 2003 people were predicting that the supposed Planet X would be a catastrophe and we're still here.  Here's the thing.  People in every culture, in every place, in every time have been trying to predict the end of the world.  So far, they've all been wrong.  As for this, I wouldn't put any stock in it since everything it entails was pulled from every which direction without reason.  People were just looking for a way to connect this to the conclusion they already reached.  No need to worry, we're going to be fine.

  5. in the first video i think there's an optical illusion or something like that...

and the second video - i really don't think that's going to happen

you should stop worrying. just live your life and focus your energy on something else...

  6. For one: an asteroid cannot suddenly appear in the sky coming strait towards the planet. We would be able to detect such as object many years before it hit us. Things are being done to plan for such an event like how to redirect an asteroid or comet.

And for those youtube videos. the first one is an optical illusion and the second is a clip from an episode of mega disasters on the history channel with dramatic music played over it.

December 12, 2012 is just the end of the myan calendar. lf the world ends on the winter solstice of 2012, i guess you should live your life to the fullest before then, shouldn't you =)

  7. If there is anything you can do to alter the outcome, it could make some sense to be concerned. You can not. Nor have you any good information to suggest you need to.

But asteroid impacts have happened before, and only animals that were underground appear to have survived. If you can make arrangement to be underground, and by some freak of luck you happen not to be in the impact zone, you may survive even a hit by a significant asteroid.

If earth hit a major planet or a sun, game over anyway, but it would do no harm being underground. You only get to vapourize once.
