My lip piercing hurts, please help me..?

I know most are probably a little more exasperated about my lip piercing questions. Well, I have it done. It hurt a bit, and my mom said it looked like i was passing out when the needle went through. Lol. It's a ball. It look pretty good. =)

Annnywho. This morning I woke up, and it just feels...idk. Odd. A bit tender. Like somethings wrong, but I don't see anything. And yes, I've been washing it and taking care of it since I got it.

Soreness is a natural part of healing. It can be sore in general for up to a week or two. After that, it will be tender to the touch for two or more weeks. You can ice the area and take ibuprofin to ease the pain and swelling. You can also do saline soaks as your aftercare if you are not already. This will also soothe the piercing.

You just put a hole through your lip.  It is going to be sore for a while.  Just keep it clean.  I hope you weren't expecting it to be better already

A needle just went through your lip less than 24 hours ago. Do you expect it to magically feel fine? It's going to be sore and tender while it is healing, that is perfectly normal. It's probably going to swell up as well.
