My lip piercing is in so much pain!!

Help! my lip piercing is cool but the side its on is 10 times the size it normally is and its been killing me.Everything else is fine and ive been taking care of it but I'm definitely debating on taking it out.What should i do???

What do you expect when you put a hole through your lip? Your body is telling you it doesn't like it. Let it heal and forget about piercings before you get a serious infection.

it may be infected. i think you should take it out, let it heal, and wait at least 2 more weeks to get it pierced again. (if you want to get it pierced again.)

Take it out and get it redone later

try ibuprophen to reduce swelling and see if that helps any, i used that on my tongue and it made it hurt less

Swelling is normal, but that does sound unusual. Mine swelled as well, but I wouldn't say it was that much.

Did you try taking ibuprufen? It's not safe to take it out yourself, if it gets really, really, bad, and your piercer isn't open, i'd go to a Dr. I suggest you go back to your piercer and see what's up asap.

If its really that bad then you should probably take it out. If the swelling doesnt go down then i would see a doctor soon.

First of all, if you haven't already, take it out.  This could be an allergic reaction, or an infection.  Try rubbing rubbing alcohol on the parts of the swelling, that you can (not the inside of your mouth), this could help if you had an infection.  Put some ice on it, if you can.  And go to the hospital as soon as possible.
